Cadiz is in the region of Andalusia and stands on the peninsula of the south of Spain. Cadiz is also a region within the province of Andalusia. Cadiz the city is right on the coast of the Costa de la Luz (the coast of light).Cadiz ,the city, boasts the regions most visited protected areas and the rainiest areas in Spain; the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. The province is bordered by Huelva, Sevilla and Malaga. Cadiz coastline has become a very popular place for people to come and surf and also increasing to come and bird watch. Cadiz(the province) has a population of around 1,164,000 people and there are usually a large number of visitors every year from all around the world like people from Argentina that own Buenos Aires real estate. Cadiz (the city) is estimated to have a population of around 600,000 people although most of these people live in the Bay of Cadiz area and not actually in the city centre. Cadiz is only 125 kilometres (77 miles) away from Sevilla which has an international airport. There is an airport in Jerez, however this is very small and you may not always find the flights that you wish. The average temperature in Cadiz is very warm even in the winter with the average temperature in the winter being 15/16 degrees Celsius and the average temperature in the summer being around 29/30 degrees Celsius. The humidity is normally quite moderate and the rainfall is generally quite low however enough to keep the terrain nice and hydrated.
